The Baker Mansion in Weatherford
The Baker Mansion in Weatherford, Texas, a city twenty-six miles west of Fort Worth in Parker County, was originally built in 1894. People say it is haunted by Charles Baker, the son of the original owner, J. D. Baker. His father died before the house was completed, but it was Charles who mysteriously disappeared in 1908. Mr. J. D. Baker founded a successful mercantile business in Hood County and moved his business to Weatherford in the 1880s. When construction began, it was intended to be a Victorian house of approximately 557 square meters at 704 South Lamar in Weatherford. J. D. Baker had four children: Charles, Harry, Mary, and Ethel. Ethel died at the age of twelve, the family's first tragedy. Mr. Baker died on Easter Sunday in 1899. The mysterious disappearance of Charles Baker was never solved; he left on a trip to purchase supplies for the store and was last seen leaving San Francisco for Seattle, where he was supposed to order merchandise. He was never seen or heard from again. His family even offered a large reward for any information about his whereabouts, but nothing ever came of it. In 1940, the Fant family bought the house, and for the past thirty years, ghost stories about events in the house have circulated within the family. Shadowy figures have been reported on the staircase, as have sensations of being touched by an invisible hand, and on one occasion there was even violent banging from behind the locked basement door with no apparent explanation. According to reports, the current residents seem to have escaped the spirit's attention, but a worker at the house once mentioned that he felt something or someone invisible to the human eye trying to push him down the stairs on the second floor.

Arwine Cemetery in Hurst is actually quite inconspicuous and is located behind an apartment building in the middle of the city. It seems to be home to a whole host of otherworldly beings who simply do not want to go into the light. If you decide to go there, please be careful, as the area around the cemetery can be somewhat dangerous at night. EVP recordings have reportedly captured the words “Get out” or even “Help me.” It is not the best part of town, and the area around the cemetery is known for gang activity, so it is difficult to say who these restless souls that still call the cemetery home actually are. It is also reported that the surrounding woods contain many discarded gravestones piled up near the hearse road.
