RoboForce Unveils Titan: Revolutionary Mobile Manipulator with a New $5 Million Investment

RoboForce, a robotics startup based in Milpitas, California, unveiled its latest product in May 2025—a powerful AI-powered mobile manipulator called Titan. The announcement came alongside news of an additional $5 million in funding, bringing the total investment in the company to $15 million since it emerged from stealth mode at the beginning of 2025.

Features and Capabilities

Titan was designed specifically for demanding industrial deployments, particularly in challenging outdoor conditions. The mobile manipulator is capable of performing five basic "primitive" actions—picking, placing, printing, rotating, and connecting—which the company says cover most industrial manipulation tasks. From a technical standpoint, Titan offers impressive specifications: it achieves 1 mm (0.03 inch) precision for delicate manipulation, handles payloads of up to 40 kg (88.1 pounds), and has an arm reach of up to 1,100 mm (43.3 inches). Its endurance is also important for industrial applications—the robot can operate continuously for eight hours on a single production shift. RoboForce offers the Titan in wheeled and tracked versions, allowing it to be adapted to different terrains. The machine is powered by proprietary Domain Intelligence technology, which closely integrates hardware optimization with artificial intelligence for continuous learning across various industrial fields. "We see a tremendous opportunity in automating work in challenging outdoor conditions," said Leo Ma, founder and CEO of RoboForce. "Titan is designed to perform heavy, monotonous, or dangerous work in place of people, enabling companies to complete projects faster, more safely, and more efficiently."

Significant Investments

Investment interest in RoboForce reflects growing confidence in the potential of advanced robotics for industrial applications. The latest $5 million funding injection followed an earlier financing round in which the company raised $10 million after emerging from stealth mode at the beginning of 2025. Notable backers include prominent figures from the investment world—Nobel Prize-winning economist Myron Scholes and Gary Rieschel of SoftBank Venture Capital. The investment funds will primarily be used to expand pilot programs with existing partners and accelerate the development of new use cases for the Titan and RF-04 mobile manipulators. The company also plans to strengthen its research and development team, enabling it to maintain its technological edge in the rapidly evolving industrial robotics sector. According to company leadership, the current level of funding demonstrates that investors view the automation of demanding outdoor work as a critical segment with significant market potential.

Company Potential

Before launching Titan, RoboForce developed the RF-04, a dual-arm mobile manipulator aimed at sectors such as solar energy and the space industry. Like Titan, the RF-04 offers high precision—down to one millimeter—for basic manipulation tasks and features all-terrain mobility along with robust safety features. RoboForce primarily targets industries facing acute labor shortages or hazardous conditions. These include solar energy, the space and aerospace industries, manufacturing, and mining. The robots are specifically designed to withstand harsh outdoor conditions for the duration of long-term projects, which is a key requirement, for example, for large-scale solar installations where extreme temperatures make it difficult to retain a human workforce. By automating these roles with durable robots, companies can complete large-scale projects more efficiently while reducing costs.

Leo Ma emphasizes that RoboForce's goal is not merely automation, but redefining industrial work by removing people from repetitive or dangerous jobs while increasing productivity through intelligent robotic systems. The company presents itself as a pioneer of "the world's most advanced robotic labor systems," which aim to move human workers beyond exhausting manual tasks. RoboForce is currently expanding and offers positions in various areas on its careers page, from robotics and machine learning to manufacturing operations. With growing demand for industrial automation and the support of major investors, RoboForce is positioning itself as a key player in the next generation of robotic workforce solutions.
