Samsung Aims to Double the Number of AI Devices with Google Gemini This Year

Samsung unveiled its vision titled “Your Companion to AI Living” at The First Look 2026 during CES 2026. The event took place on January 5 in the Latour Ballroom at Wynn Las Vegas. The demonstrations included ways in which artificial intelligence can connect entertainment devices, home appliances, and health technologies to make our everyday lives easier.

AI-powered entertainment across all products

One of the main attractions is Vision AI Companion (VAC), a visual artificial intelligence companion that enhances the TV viewing experience. It recommends movies, recipes, or music based on your preferences. It connects with the “What’s for Today?” feature, which works like a game and helps with meal planning. Another feature is Video to Recipe, which turns a video into detailed cooking instructions. It all runs across connected devices to make the experience simple and fun for everyone.

Samsung also focused on the home. For example, the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra robotic vacuum cleaner uses a Qualcomm Dragonwing processor and an Active Stereo 3D sensor. It can identify spills such as coffee or water, monitor pets, or serve as a security camera. It responds to voice commands through Bixby, which understands natural speech in English. It does not yet support Czech, even though it is also available in the Czech Republic. Other appliances feature AI Hybrid Cooling for improved cooling, and some have received CES Innovation Awards. Samsung is also expanding Google Gemini AI into kitchen appliances such as Bespoke AI refrigerators and the new Bespoke AI Wine Cellar. With an enhanced AI Vision feature, these refrigerators can now recognize a wide range of foods without requiring them to be registered in advance, automatically catalog processed foods, and help plan grocery shopping or recipes.

Health and safety monitored by AI

In healthcare, Samsung offers proactive care through a connected ecosystem of phones, wearable devices, and appliances. It provides personalized advice on exercise, sleep, and recipes. It can detect abnormalities and share data through the Xealth platform. Advanced features include dementia detection using wearable devices that monitor movement and speech. All of this is intended to help people live healthier lives without unnecessary complexity.

Samsung places great emphasis on data protection. It uses Samsung Knox and Knox Matrix to protect information during AI-powered processes. Models undergo checks through red team analysis, ensuring that everything remains secure.

Samsung plans to double the number of Galaxy mobile devices with Google Gemini AI to 800 million units in 2026. This move is part of its vision for connected living with AI, which extends beyond mobile devices to kitchen appliances. The CES 2026 exhibition runs until January 7 and demonstrates how these innovations could transform our daily lives. The official recording is available on YouTube.
