Jensen Huang: Robotics and AI Are Nvidia's Future
Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, identified robotics as the company's second-largest potential growth market after artificial intelligence at its annual shareholders' meeting. According to him, autonomous vehicles represent the first major commercial application of this technology.
A Trillion-Dollar Opportunity in AI and Robotics
"We have many growth opportunities at our company, with AI and robotics being the two largest and representing a growth opportunity worth several trillion dollars," Huang said Wednesday at Nvidia's annual shareholders' meeting in response to an attendee's question. This statement confirms the company's long-term strategy, which focuses on these two key sectors as the main drivers of future growth. Huang specifically emphasized that self-driving cars will be the first major commercial application of robotics technology. Nvidia is already investing significant resources in developing platforms for autonomous vehicles and advanced robotic systems.
Nvidia's Market Position
Nvidia is a leader in artificial intelligence hardware thanks to its GPU chips, which power large parts of the current AI revolution. It is now expanding its presence in robotics through platforms such as CUDA and the Isaac robotics toolkit. Huang's vision confirms that Nvidia is not solely focused on the current artificial intelligence boom but is also strategically building its position in robotics, which has the potential to transform industry in much the same way as AI.
