Jensen Huang: Nobody Needs Atomic Bombs, but Everyone Needs AI!

For example, Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as European countries, spent enormous sums on these projects. Huang called this "sovereign AI," meaning independent AI infrastructure that countries build for themselves.

Comparing AI to Atomic Bombs

In the interview, Jensen Huang directly compared AI to atomic bombs. He said that while nobody needs atomic bombs, AI is something everyone needs. According to him, the long-term potential of AI is much greater than the strategic importance of nuclear weapons. Huang explained that AI is a fundamental technology for national security and economic competitiveness. It is not about destruction, but about building.

He added that if all nations adopted advanced AI, the costs and consequences of war would increase, making conflicts less likely. Every country should develop its own "sovereign AI" platform tailored to local needs and security. NVIDIA plays a key role in supplying hardware for these AI supercomputers and data centers.

Investment in AI Around the World

Jensen Huang mentioned that countries are rushing to adopt the entire AI technology stack. State entities such as HUMAIN AI are pouring tens of billions into developing independent computing capacity to run high-performance AI models. According to Huang, sovereign AI is as important as electricity or water—essential infrastructure that countries cannot do without.

Huang also noted that nations will need to integrate AI into manufacturing, industry, and national security operations. Building an independent computing platform is therefore a necessity for countries around the world. According to him, AI is still in the early stages of adoption at the government level, but those who start early will gain an advantage.

Nvidia's Role in AI
