Alibaba Launches Quark AI Glasses Powered by Its Own Qwen AI

Alibaba has just launched sales of its new Quark AI smart glasses series in China, with expansion to the rest of the world planned for next year. These glasses feature Qwen artificial intelligence, which is deeply integrated into the device. The glasses have transparent displays that overlay contextual information directly onto what you see around you. This means you can receive useful information without having to reach for your phone or another device. The entire series is designed to be comfortable for all-day wear, with a frame weighing just 51 grams and slim temples measuring 7.5 millimeters thick. The weight is evenly distributed, so the glasses do not rest uncomfortably on your nose or ears.

Models and prices

The Quark AI glasses series includes several models, allowing everyone to choose according to their budget. The basic Quark S1 model starts at 3,799 yuan, equivalent to approximately CZK 12,351. For those looking for a more affordable option, there is an entry-level model for USD 268, or roughly CZK 6,164. These prices make the glasses more affordable than competing products, such as glasses from Meta, which cost around USD 800, or about CZK 18,400. Sales began in late November 2025, and the glasses are currently available only in China.

The Quark AI S1 glasses allow users to take photos instantly in 0.6 seconds, record smooth 3K video, produce AI-enhanced 4K output, and achieve excellent low-light performance thanks to proprietary Super Raw technology, which ensures clear and vivid nighttime images.

One of the major advantages of these glasses is their long battery life—up to 24 hours on a single charge. This makes it possible to use them from morning until evening without frequent recharging. Qwen artificial intelligence provides smart assistance in real time, combining voice commands with visual perception. The glasses can therefore provide contextual support for everyday tasks, such as navigation or quick answers to questions. The Quark S1 model is powered by a dual-core processor, ensuring that all functions run smoothly.

The Quark AI glasses are designed with practicality in mind. Their transparent displays allow you to see your surroundings normally while overlaying the necessary information onto them. This is ideal for situations where you need to find something out quickly without losing touch with reality. The lightweight frame and slim temples make the glasses a comfortable accessory that complements everyday clothing. Alibaba is thus entering the wearable device market, where it aims to compete with companies such as Meta, Xiaomi, and Rokid, with an emphasis on affordability and the integration of its own artificial intelligence.
