Stability AI has released three new audio models and AI music-editing software. The new AI lets users create music from text prompts, producing either a complete instrumental track or a short musical snippet.
Humming and beatboxing planned for an upcoming update
An upcoming update is set to add another way to guide generated music. Sean Parker says users will be able to supply a melody by humming or a rhythm by beatboxing.
A focus on music professionals and licensed catalogs
Parker wants to make Stability AI a leading provider of artificial intelligence tools for music professionals.
In late August, Stability AI announced $76 million in funding from investors including Sony, Warner and Universal. As part of the investment deal, those three companies also licensed their music catalogs for AI training.
