Microsoft Reveals New AI Features for Windows 11

In May 2025, Microsoft announced a new wave of features for Windows 11 that fundamentally change the way we work with computers. When will they become available in the Czech Republic?

Artificial Intelligence Takes Center Stage

Microsoft continues its offensive in the field of artificial intelligence, and the latest announcement only confirms this. Among the most interesting new features is the expansion of Copilot+ capabilities, which were first introduced at the end of 2024 but are now taking on an entirely new dimension.

The Recall feature has been improved and now offers an even more intelligent way to return to anything you have done on your computer. Imagine that you cannot remember where you saw a particular document or webpage - just enter a keyword and Recall will show you exactly when and in which application you worked with that content. Privacy protection remains a priority, so users have full control over what the system "sees" and remembers.

Click to Do can now work with a much broader range of applications and contexts. For example, if you are reading a complex research article, the AI assistant can create a brief summary or generate notes with a single click. When working with images, it can remove the background, adjust the lighting or even help with retouching - all without the need to open specialized graphics programs.

New Copilot Pro: A Personal Assistant for Everyone

A major new feature is the introduction of Copilot Pro - an extended version of the assistant that is now deeply integrated throughout the system. Unlike the regular Copilot, which functions more like a chat interface, Copilot Pro learns from your habits and proactively offers relevant assistance in real time. "Copilot Pro represents a significant step forward in our vision of an artificial intelligence-powered personal computer," said Satya Nadella, Microsoft's CEO. "It not only helps you with tasks, but proactively helps you be more productive in a way that is natural and respects your privacy."

Improved Multitasking and Productivity

Windows 11 previously introduced templates for arranging windows (Snap Layouts), but the new update adds AI Layout Suggestions - the system monitors which applications you use together and automatically suggests an optimal layout for your work. Virtual Desktop Intelligence is another new feature - the system now automatically organizes your virtual desktops according to context (work, personal, entertainment) and adjusts the settings based on the type of activity you are performing. For example, a work desktop can automatically filter out personal notifications, while a gaming desktop optimizes performance and turns off nonessential applications running in the background.

When Will It Arrive in the Czech Republic?

According to available information, most of the new features should become available to Czech users shortly after the global launch. Microsoft says that the full rollout for European markets, including the Czech Republic, will begin in the third quarter of 2025, approximately three months after the US debut. "AI-powered features are undergoing thorough testing and localization to ensure full compatibility with European languages, including Czech," confirmed a Microsoft spokesperson for the Central European region. "The Czech interface and full language support are a priority for us." It is important to mention that Czech users will need what is known as a Copilot+ PC - a computer equipped with a special processor optimized for artificial intelligence tasks - to take full advantage of the new AI features. Older computers running Windows 11 will receive only a basic version of these features, which will use cloud processing instead of local processing.

Availability and Requirements

For users in the Czech Republic, the update will be available free of charge through Windows Update. If you are already using Windows 11, simply check "Settings > Update & Security".

The minimum hardware requirements remain the same as for the original release of Windows 11: a dual-core 64-bit processor with a clock speed of at least 1 GHz, a TPM 2.0 module, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. However, for full use of the AI features, a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite/Plus, Intel Core Ultra or AMD Ryzen AI 300 processor, at least 16 GB of RAM and SSD storage are recommended.

The Future Is Here

The new Windows 11 features represent a significant step toward computers that truly understand their users. Microsoft is responding to growing competition in the field of AI, particularly from Apple, which is also investing heavily in artificial intelligence in its systems. For Czech users, it is encouraging that Microsoft considers our region one of the priority markets for the launch of these technologies. While waiting for full availability, we can at least enjoy the existing Windows 11 features, which already offer a more modern design, better multitasking and enhanced security compared with previous versions.

Whether you are a technology enthusiast or an everyday user, one thing is certain – the way we use computers is changing before our eyes. And this time, the revolution has a name: AI.
