Robotic Fleets for Forest Restoration and Industrial Cleaning Unveiled in Dubai

Dubai-based robotics company Micropolis is becoming a leading force in artificial intelligence and autonomous systems in the United Arab Emirates. At the prestigious Make it in the Emirates 2025 event, the company unveiled its latest innovations and entered into an important partnership with Emirates Steel, which could significantly transform the region's industrial sector. The event marked a milestone not only for the company itself, but also for the overall technological transformation of the Emirates, which aims to become a global leader in robotics and artificial intelligence.

Three Revolutionary Robotic Platforms

At the event, Micropolis unveiled three revolutionary robotic platforms that demonstrate the breadth of its technological capabilities. The Robotic Forestry Unit is a unique solution for reforestation and ecological restoration, combining a ground vehicle, a drone, and a robotic arm to operate in challenging environments such as deserts or fire-affected areas. This comprehensive system uses advanced artificial intelligence for navigation and precise planting operations, which is essential for the Emirates' environmental initiatives.

The M01 Patrol Unit is already actively serving with Dubai Police and is an AI-powered security robot that expands public safety coverage through advanced surveillance and autonomous navigation.

Partnership with Emirates Steel

This partnership aims to integrate Micropolis' robotic solutions into Emirates Steel's operations, underscoring a shared commitment to innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainability in the Emirates' industrial sector. As one of the region's leading steel companies, Emirates Steel plans to use robotic technologies to optimize manufacturing processes, improve worker safety, and increase overall productivity. This collaboration provides a model for other industrial enterprises in the region seeking to leverage advanced robotic systems for a competitive advantage.

Expansion into Security Sectors

Micropolis is also expanding into other critical sectors. The company has already deployed its M-Patrol units with Dubai Police and is piloting solutions with NEOM and SEE Holding for "The Sustainable City 2.0" project, demonstrating real-world capabilities in surveillance, mobility, and infrastructure support. At Airport Show 2025, the company unveiled new border control robots (M1 and M2 platforms) for the UAE National Guard, equipped with advanced sensors and AI-powered threat detection for monitoring secure facilities. These specialized robots represent a further expansion of the company's portfolio into national security and border control.

Growth Following a Successful IPO

Following its NYSE debut and $15.5 million IPO in March 2025, Micropolis is significantly expanding its operations. Plans include a larger manufacturing facility and workforce expansion to meet growing demand both in the UAE and internationally. The presence of senior UAE government officials at the Micropolis pavilion demonstrates strong national support for innovation in robotics and artificial intelligence as part of the Emirates' industrial strategy. This government support is crucial to the company's continued growth and the implementation of its technologies across various sectors of the Emirati economy. The company is thus positioning itself as a key player in deploying AI-powered robotic fleets for public safety, industrial efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
