Anthropic’s revenue approaches $7 billion

Anthropic, an artificial intelligence startup, expects a significant increase in its annual revenue. According to internal estimates, the company plans to reach more than $20 billion (approximately CZK 466 billion) under its baseline scenario and as much as $26 billion (approximately CZK 606 billion) in annualized revenue for 2026 in the best-case scenario. This growth is expected to follow the company reaching its internal target of $9 billion (approximately CZK 210 billion) in annual revenue by the end of 2025, calculated based on its current sales pace. These figures are based on information from people familiar with the company's internal plans, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

In October 2025, Anthropic's annualized revenue is approaching $7 billion (approximately CZK 163 billion), up from more than $5 billion (approximately CZK 117 billion) in August 2025. The company confirmed that it is approaching this figure but declined to comment on future estimates.

Growth Driven by Enterprise Products

The main driver of this growth is the adoption of enterprise products designed for organizations. Anthropic has more than 300,000 business and enterprise customers, who account for about 80% of its revenue. The company sells access to its models through application programming interfaces (APIs), enabling communication between different software applications.

Key products include the Claude Code code-generation tool, which has achieved annualized revenue of nearly $1 billion (approximately CZK 23 billion) since its launch at the beginning of the year. This success is contributing to the overall pace of growth. In addition, in October 2025, Anthropic introduced a new version of its least expensive artificial intelligence model, called Haiku 4.5. This model is sold for roughly one-third the price of the mid-sized Sonnet 4 model, which is intended to attract companies seeking powerful yet affordable systems.

Competition and Finances

Anthropic is a rival of OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT. In August 2025, OpenAI announced that it had surpassed $13 billion (approximately CZK 303 billion) in annualized revenue and was on track to exceed $20 billion (approximately CZK 466 billion) by the end of the year, driven by the growth of ChatGPT, which has more than 800 million weekly active users.

This growth follows a period of intensive fundraising. Anthropic was recently valued at $183 billion (approximately CZK 4.265 trillion) after raising $13 billion (approximately CZK 303 billion) in a Series F funding round led by ICONIQ. This is more than double its March 2025 valuation of $61.5 billion (approximately CZK 1.433 trillion). The company is backed by technology giants such as Alphabet and Amazon.

Anthropic develops the Claude family of large language models, which compete with OpenAI's GPT series. The company emphasizes artificial intelligence safety and the development of models for enterprise use. Its models have helped drive the growth of code-generation startups such as Cursor.

The company is expanding sales to governments and outside the United States. In August 2025, it announced that it would offer the Claude model to the U.S. government for $1. It plans to open its first office in Bengaluru, India, in 2026, its second-largest market after the U.S. It also intends to triple its international workforce and expand its applied artificial intelligence team fivefold this year to meet growing demand.
