Amazon announced that it will invest up to $50 billion (approximately CZK 1.15 trillion) to expand artificial intelligence (AI) and supercomputing capabilities for U.S. government customers. This investment will begin in 2026 and add nearly 1.3 gigawatts of computing capacity across the dedicated AWS Top Secret, AWS Secret, and AWS GovCloud (US) regions. This means building new data centers with advanced computing and networking technologies. By combining simulation and modeling data with AI, agencies will achieve in hours what previously took weeks or months, thanks to automated experiment management and immediate feedback. Research teams will process decades of global security data across hundreds of variables in real time, turning complex pattern analysis into rapid, actionable insights and significantly reducing massive datasets. Advanced computing will unify previously fragmented data from supply chains, infrastructure, and the environment into a single whole. In defense and intelligence, workflows that previously required weeks of manual analysis will automatically transform into threat detection and response plans by processing satellite imagery, sensor data, and historical patterns at an unprecedented scale. Combining AI with modeling and simulations will enable America to address complex challenges faster and more accurately than ever before.
